Why we built Winze

That gap is operational, so it can be fixed.

25%1

below mid-2000s productivity, even with geology stripped out

That gap is operational, so it can be fixed. Winze finds the hours equipment runs without producing, prices them and traces each one to its cause within the shift.

Losses persist because sites lack the people to turn data into answers in time.

The tools to find these losses existed; running them at site scale took hundreds of analyst hours, so the work never got funded. With AI the same analysis runs continuously, at a fraction of the cost.

86%2

of mining executives find it harder to hire and keep data science and automation talent

71%2

say the talent shortage is holding back their production targets

47%3

name skills shortages as the biggest barrier to adopting new technology

Winze arrives knowing nothing about your plant, connects to whatever you already have — an OPC-UA endpoint first, historians, maintenance systems and fleet systems later — and asks its way to competence. It learns the plant’s structure from how the plant actually behaves, finds the hours where equipment ran without producing, prices them in dollars a general manager recognises, and separates what maintenance already knows about from what nobody has noticed yet.

It is built on one rule we don’t relax: every number it produces can be traced back to the raw readings that made it. Where a decision turns on judgement — reading intent, resolving a name, deciding whether two things describe the same problem — we ask a model, not a brittle rule that looks enforced and isn’t. Where being wrong is unrecoverable, a deterministic check stays as a backstop regardless.

Mining-first, because that is where we started and where we are earning the right to be trusted.
